School Leaders: each year the students elect two senior students to be our school leaders. They have the privilege of running our weekly assembly, greeting and thanking visitors to our school, and act as student mentors across the year.
Junior School Council: each year the students elect one representative from each grade level and together the 7 students organise a key event each term. Fundraising and raising awareness for charities and fun are the key criteria here. The students are supported in this work by a teacher.
Junior Rotary Award: each year grade 6 students are offered the opportunity to participate in this program. The program is sponsored by the Mitchell River Rotary Club and requires active participation of both students and parents.
Other: Across the year students may offer to run activities during recess or lunch for interested students to participate in.
Leadership skills are actively encouraged for every student regardless of age.
